About me...

Hello!
My name is Carla Rosa, I graduated in Fashion Design in 1994/95 from the Porto School of Fashion (ESMOD course) and in Textile Quality Control in 1997 from the Cenatex Professional School in Porto.
My journey in the fashion world began as a Fashion Design Assistant at the Têxtil Sport Clothing Factory in Lousada-Paredes, owner of the Garros brand for the national market.
One day I realized I could work with foreign brands and grow, both in technical knowledge and experience, and I ventured down other paths.
I have worked as a Freelance Designer, Quality Controller, Textile Sales Representative, Textile Merchandiser, and most recently in New Client Acquisition.
I have worked with several internationally renowned brands, such as Esprit, H&M, Duck and Cover, Adidas, Y3 by Yohji Yamamoto, Gerry Weber, Hackett, WoodWood, Bimba & Lola, La Martina, and Pretty Green.
I also worked with various types of products: made from fabrics or knits, for men, women, and children.
However, at the beginning of 2018, I decided to start my own project, offering personalized services and the experience I had gained to help brands identify certified Portuguese suppliers that best suited their needs.
What led to the creation of BioTextiles?
BioTextiles' partners are a group of Portuguese textile companies with extensive know-how in the production chain processes of circular knitwear, knitted fabrics, and woven fabrics. Socks, small leather goods, bags, caps, and Turkish and beach towels are also among our main focuses. New to our product line are equestrian and horse products.
I believe our clients trust us to develop new collections each season; and we live up to that trust by working with discretion, high quality, punctual delivery, and the best possible prices. We work with select clients whose profile matches ours and where we feel we can add value.
Thanks,
Carla Rosa
